Thanks for stopping by! I’m Boston Ballmer, the owner and sole employee of Nine Nails Woodshop. A civil engineer by degree, I got bogged down with the corporate life. I had the realization one day that we’re only on this Earth for a short while, and I didn’t want to spend the majority of that time doing something that I wasn’t passionate about. A career opportunity in another state presented itself for my wife so I had a choice to make. Find a new job when we move, or pursue my dream of entrepreneurship, working with my hands, and building functional art. You can obviously see what happened. Nine Nails Woodshop was born!

I specialize in hardwood furniture and home items in all shapes and sizes. From nightstands to dining tables to charcuterie boards, I’m always up for the challenge. I love live-edge furniture, but I also have an affinity for the mid-century modern style.
